The 2007 readership surveys are in, and already we’ve noticed certain trends in the responses provided. One such example is that many readers are interested in learning more about tango, which we have taken on board in this issue – you’ll find part one of a feature on the history of Argentine tango, as well as a report from the scene in Buenos Aires today. Many readers also noted that they enjoy reading about and attending performances of other dance styles such as ballet, as well as musical theatre, and you’ll see from our calendar section (listings, page 64) that we’re now extending the coverage to accommodate this. Not only that, but next month we’ll be featuring an exclusive interview with top musical theatre choreographer Matthew Bourne as The Car Man sets off on tour, alongside full coverage of the Blackpool Dance Festival and, as ever, much more.
