DANCE TODAY!
Dance Today! November 2004

November is here and the countdown to Christmas is on. Can you feel it? As with every year, there are a million things to do and another million events to attend. But, fear not, the earlier you start, the more relaxed you will be able to approach the festive season.

So, why not start with thinking now about what to wear? That shouldn’t be too difficult with a little help from Julie Burns, our new contributor, who, a keen dancer and fashion addict herself, will over the coming months introduce you to the latests items on the market — of course always with the dancer in mind. You can also look forward to her Christmas present suggestions and ideas for her, him and the younger dance fans, which we shall feature in the December issue.

Meanwhile why not treat yourself and rest your legs at the movies one night — the new Ballroom movie Shall We Dance? is out, featuring international stars Jennifer Lopez and Richard Gere. Angela Gilltrap spoke to the man behind the scenes, the film’s choreographer John O’Connell, who, as you will find out on pages 18-19, has already worked on numerous highly successful productions.

If you are relatively new to

Dance Today! or have possibly missed or lost an issue, you can now make sure your collection is complete by ordering back issues from the office. Let the index of last year’s volume on pages 27-30 help you find the one(s) you want!
