DANCE TODAY!
Dance Today! April 2004

Slowly but surely we are leaving those winter months behind and are steering into spring and summer, which I appreciate especially this year as I have been lucky to have an advance taste of summer on a recent holiday to sunny Australia. Unfortunately I was too late to visit the Bacardi Latin Festival in Sydney, however, thanks to our contributor Angela Gilltrap, you can read all about this major event on pages 16-18.
Apart from staying in shape on the dancefloor, for many keeping fit and looking good takes on a whole different meaning with the summer wardrobe being pulled out of the depths of various cupboards. Alistair Phillips spoke to Irish dancers Joanne Doyle and Sinead Ellis about their fitness routines and Rachel Holland has some useful advice on how to keep your hands and nails in shape (pages 22-23).
Sadly, Ted Burroughs, a well-known and much loved name in the Sequence dancing world, has died. Roy Sharpe pays tribute to him on page 31.
Last but not least I would like to thank all of you who have called and sent letters about how much you like the new Dance Today!.
I was chuffed to hear that. Any suggestions, opinions or criticisms are always kindly appreciated. After all, this is your magazine.
Hope you enjoy the issue.
